Uninstall all Joomla extensions before removing the actual back-end software. If you do not have any extensions, skip to Step 3. To uninstall extensions, login to Joomla. Click the drop-down menu in the left-hand side of your Joomla screen. Select 'Extensions' from the menu. Click the name of each extension that you have running.
