All articles made in China should be avoided because they can insult and be inappropriate. Your Chinese guest is interested in what is here, not back home--your gift should remind him of a positive experience here. Giving a clock as a gift to a Chinese visitor is a cultural faux pas because the Chinese word for 'clock' is similar to the word for 'death.' Likewise, all sharp instruments such as scissors, letter openers and knives should be avoided, as they tell your Chinese visitor in dramatic form that you wish to sever your relationship. Never give a fan to your Chinese guest because the word for 'fan' resembles the Chinese word for 'separation,' which gives the message that you intend to end the friendship. A green hat for a man is taboo because in China it means the man's wife is adulterous. Surprisingly, a book would not be a good idea for a visitor from Hong Kong since the pronunciation of 'book' in Cantonese resembles the sound of 'loss.' Umbrellas, for similar reasons, are also to be avoided for any Chinese visitor. Although you should aim for quality with your gift-giving, refrain from spending too much to avoid embarrassing your guest.
Tourist Shopping Behavior
A good way to assess what gift might be prized by a Chinese visitor is to consider what Chinese tourists buy for themselves and their friends. Popular items are favorites over unique or unusual items. Status items--associated with sports celebrities, political leaders or film stars--are also favorite purchases. Chinese people do like to show off luxury, so branded or designer items end up in their shopping bags. Goods that are associated with festivals, local folklore and special athletic, musical, artistic or cultural events are also prized.
Gift Ideas
Given the Chinese visitor's personal preferences, a baseball or football cap and T-shirt are good gifts, even for business clients. Parker pens are famous in China and, together with leather wallets, make good choices. Giving wine, especially white or rose wines, is also an appropriate gift. Any gift that represents your city, state or region would make a fine choice, as long as it was not made in China. The Chinese are curious about the world outside China and its special customs and goods. Also, they prize art. Your gift need not be an expensive oil painting. Large, full-colored picture books of American art or coffee-table photography books with pictures of local American towns make good gifts. Giving tickets to a special event is also something to be considered because some visitors like to engage in activities frowned upon or nonexistent at home. If you know your visitor well, consider a cabaret show or a night at the casino.
Gift-Giving Tips
When presenting your gift, use two hands, not one. Insist on it being received, even if your Chinese visitor refuses several times to accept it. And, never wrap it in white, blue or black paper. Red is a good color for gift wrap. In addition, do not give single or odd-numbered gifts. Gifts in pairs or even numbers will not offend your visitor.

In Feburary 2016 27,
Log into your GoDaddy account and click on 'Hosting' under 'My Products.'
Click the green arrow under 'Launch' to open your hosting account. On the next page, click the 'Your Files' button in the top left. The File Manager will open, giving you access to your server's files. Your website files are stored on the server.
Navigate to the location of the file(s) you want to edit on your website. If you want to edit the 'contact' page, for example, you would probably want to edit the file named 'contact.html' or 'contact.php.' It may be found under a subfolder, such as 'html' or 'website.' Check with your Web developer if you aren't sure which file to edit or where it is located.
Left click your mouse beside the file you want to edit in the checkbox. Click the 'edit' button found in the navigation menu going across the top of the File Manager.
Use the visual editor in the new window to add or edit content, or click 'HTML' in the top right to open the file in HTML view. If it appears blank, click the 'HTML' button to see the contents of the page.
Modify your file and click the 'Save File' icon in the top left of the editor. The 'Save File' icon is an image of a floppy disk.
Check your website to verify the changes you made.

How to Find the Absolute Path in a WebsiteIn Feburary 2016 01,
In Feburary 2016 01,
Click on any link on a Web page using a relative path. Provided the link is properly coded, the page opens. Highlight the URL in the address bar of your Web browser and copy it by pressing 'Ctrl-C' to copy the link's absolute path. If the link doesn't work, you may still be able to get the absolute path.
Examine the URL in the address bar and fix any obvious typos, like a double 'http,' a 'wwww' instead of 'www' or two slashes instead of one. If the link automatically redirected you to an error page, open a text editor and paste the code there to examine it. Once a typo is fixed, the link should work, giving you the absolute path.
Copy the URL in the address bar of the source page. Paste this in a new line in your text editor. If it ends in 'html,' delete everything after the last '/.' If it ends in 'com' or '.org' or any other domain extension, type a '/' at the end and then type the rest of the relative path. For example, if the main URL was 'http://.example.com/page.html," and the relative path was '/folder/page.html,' you should now have 'http://example.com/folder/page.html." Copy and paste this into your Web browser address bar to see if it works. If it does, you've found the link's absolute path.
Click on other links in the source Web page and examine the URLs in the address bar. Websites, like the files on your computer, are usually stored in folders and sub-folders. Every folder begins and ends with a '/.' If a developer has mistyped a folder name, correct it and try the link again. If the developer has moved a page, you may be able to determine in which folder the page you are looking for belongs. For example, if the bad link includes an '/images/' folder, while and the other images are in an '/image/' folder, you can simply delete the 's' to get the correct path.
Searching and Absolute Paths
Right-click the clickable link in any search result. Select 'Copy Link Address' from the drop-down menu. Paste this into any text editor or word processor. In some cases, this may be an absolute path already, such as 'http://www.example.com." Other times, including links that result in direct download rather than in opening a Web page, the absolute path is embedded in confusing HTML code such as this: 'https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=13&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CFjACOAo&url=https%3A%2F%2Fexample.com%2Ffoldera%2Ffolderb%2Ffolderc%2Fpage.html&ei=8Sr1U4mKMIHnoASo2oGYBw&usg=AFQjCNGBK_IZOD0O82_VAYqiuSVJXMM-7w&sig2=9PGvoSSlvcEtSiPgHLlNPw."
Highlight and copy the HTML code that displays beneath the clickable link in the search engine. Paste this in a separate line in your text editor. Often, the path is short enough that it is displayed in its entirety, such as 'http://example.com/page.html." In this case, your work is done. However, if the path is too long, only the beginning is displayed, with the last part of the path cut off, such as 'http://example.com/foldera/folderb/fold."
Highlight everything in the clickable link code up to the last word that corresponds to the absolute path, and press 'Ctrl-V' to replace it with the clean code of the absolute path you copied. In this example, this includes everything up to 'fold,' leaving you with 'http://example.com/foldera/folderb/folderc%2Fpage.html&ei=8Sr1U4mKMIHnoASo2oGYBw&usg=AFQjCNGBK_IZOD0O82_VAYqiuSVJXMM-7w&sig2=9PGvoSSlvcEtSiPgHLlNPw."
Delete everything after the 'html.' This leaves you with 'http://example.com/foldera/folderb/folderc%2Fpage.html."
Highlight every '%2F' and press '/' on your keyboard. This is just HTML code for a slash. You now have the absolute path for the link: 'http://example.com/foldera/folderb/folderc/page.html."
