How to Choose a Hosting ProviderIn Feburary 2016 28,

In Feburary 2016 28,
Make a list of the hosting needs of your website before searching for a host. This includes technical requirements like server platform and hardware requirements, disk space needed, bandwidth requirements and other hosting features. Other features include compatibility with web authoring tools like Dreamweaver or FrontPage, support for video clips, and support for e-commerce activities.
Research the reputation of each potential hosting service provider. Check user reviews to find what customers have to say about their experiences with the hosting provider.
Evaluate reliability and scalability. The hosting provider should not only be reliable and fast, it should guarantee at least 99% uptime if not 99.5%. They should have a refund policy if they fail to provide the minimum speed guaranteed. Also, look for a service provider who is prepared for scalability. For example, if you want to increase your disk space, bandwidth or mySQL database, they should be able to do it without much problem.
Require excellent technical support and services. The provider should have competent technicians available all 7 days a week round the clock to help resolve your problems in a timely fashion. You can gauge their responsiveness by sending them some general inquiry mails and noting the response time. A response time of less than 24 hours is okay, but anything more than a day is considered poor service. A good hosting provider should provide support systems like toll free numbers, 24/7 email support, live chat, an online knowledgebase, and helpful FAQs.
Assess payment plan options. Determine if you will have to pay on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis. Many hosting providers offer the option of monthly payment. In case you are not satisfied with their services, you can switch over to another provider after a month without having to worry about any refunds.

How to Get Rid of a DomainIn Feburary 2016 28,

In Feburary 2016 28,
Visit your web hosting provider's website. Sign into your account and click on 'Help.' The process for canceling a domain name can be very different, depending on your service provider, and they will have specific instructions to follow.
Follow the instructions listed on your web hosting provider's website. Generally, you will select the domain name in question on your online profile, select a cancel option, at which point the listed contact for the website will receive an email requesting confirmation. Select 'Confirm' in that email. Your domain name will then be canceled in a number of days.
Call your service provider, if the above doesn't work. Ask to speak to a customer service representative on the phone. State your intent to cancel your domain name with their web hosting service. Ask them if it is possible for them to cancel the domain for you. They will then cancel the domain name, and you may receive an email confirming the cancellation.
Ask to speak with a manager if they cannot help you with the request. State your intent to the manager, and ask for specific instructions as to how to cancel your domain.

How to Make a Gaming Clan WebsiteIn Feburary 2016 16,

In Feburary 2016 16,
Where you build your guild's website ultimately depends on the features it has to offer and what you think you'll need. For example, Enjin features specially-designed raid boss trackers specifically for 'The Old Republic,' making it a good option for guilds in that MMO. On the other hand, Shivtr sports a client that can be used while playing hundreds of other games, letting clans keep in contact even when they're not playing the same game. Guild Portal is another website that offers one of the most comprehensive list of modules, offering a major variety for clans and guilds with different preferences.
Bonus Features to Consider
Consider some of the other features you'd like to have. If it's not so important that members talk to each other outside of the game, maybe you'll need a service that gives you a private forum; this way, players can discuss strategies with one another on their own schedule. A private messaging system can also help you get announcements to your group, such as a change in your normal gaming schedule, if they're otherwise difficult to reach all at once.
Displaying Clan Achievements on the Site
One of the benefits of creating a site for your clan includes getting to decide how you design the layout. Be sure to show off some of your best achievements right away; if your site uses trackers to show off how many difficult bosses you've defeated, use them. If you want a public forum, be sure to have some links to recent threads on the sidebar as well. Adding a news module for updates that everyone can read also brings life to the website; frequently posting news shows that you're still an active force to be reckoned with.
Advertising the Clan with Prospective Members
However you build your site, be sure to post an update wherever your current clan members already visit; for instance, updating the Message of the Day in 'World of Warcraft' ensures any guild members see the new address upon logging in. If you need new members, consider adding your guild's name and details to clan directories or posting on gaming forums that permit that sort of soliciting; try starting with the game's official forums since many have a recruiting or advertising section for clans and guilds. For example, the 'Call of Duty' community features a section exclusively for clan recruitment.

How to Accept Visa MasterCard OnlineIn Feburary 2016 12,

In Feburary 2016 12,
Find a third-party payment processor that you can work with to accept credit card payments on your behalf. These services usually charge a small fee in the form of a percentage of the entire sale. Companies that you could use include PayPal, Authorize.net and Gotmerchant.com. All of these companies will provide you with basically the same service with a few variations on features. Look at the terms that each company provides when accepting credit card payments for you.
Sign up for an account with the company that you choose. Most of these companies will have an online form that you can fill out from their website. The company will then review your application and approve it if you meet their specific standards.
Install a shopping cart or a 'buy now' button on your website with the code that is provided by your third-party processor. Most of these companies have premade forms or buttons that you can use to install on your website. You will simply have to choose the form or button that you want and then copy the code from the processor's website. Then you can paste the code into the page on your website that you want to sell your products on. When someone clicks on the form or button to pay, he will be taken to the third-party processor's website. After the payment is made, the customer will be directed back to your website. If the product is in digital format, you can give it to him immediately. If the product has to be shipped, you can provide him with shipping information.
Pay your fees to the third-party processing company. Many companies will simply take their fee out of each transaction that they process and give you the difference. Other companies will bill you through a monthly fee. You have to pay the third-party processor so that you can continue to accept credit cards on an ongoing basis.

How to Make a No Cost WebsiteIn Feburary 2016 12,

In Feburary 2016 12,
Open your browser and navigate to http://www.weebly.com. In the box that says 'Sign Up,' type in a user name and password that you would like to use, along with your email address. As you type your desired user name, you will receive a message telling you whether that name is available. You must pick a name that has not been used by anyone else. Check the box about accepting the terms of service and click the orange button that says 'Sign up.'
Another box will appear. This is called a 'Captcha' and it is designed to make sure you are a human rather than a computer program. Type the letters you see into the text box. Click the button that says 'Sign Up' once more.
Choose a title for your new site and type it in the box. This title can be anything you want and will appear at the top of your first web page. Don't stress over it too much, though, since you can change it later, if you find you want something different. Click on the orange button that says 'Continue.'
The next box that appears will give you three options and will ask you to choose how you want your domain name or website address to appear. The only free option is Option A, so click inside the box and type the name you want in your website address. This must be unique and is different from the name you chose earlier. It will tell you if the name you've chosen is not available. Click the orange button that says 'Continue.'
You're now seeing your brand new website! The options across the top of the page can be dragged by clicking on them and holding down your mouse button. Weebly has pop-up directions to help you with each option. Drag your desired options onto the page and follow the directions for each. When your web page looks the way you want it, click on the orange 'Publish' button in the upper right corner of your screen. This will cause your page to be published to the internet. You can access your new site at the web address, or 'URL,' shown on the 'Congratulations' screen.

How to Build a Commercial Web SiteIn Feburary 2016 08,

In Feburary 2016 08,
Determine the purpose for your commercial website. Individuals often build a commercial website for two reasons: to promote their company or small business and its services/products, or to create a new revenue stream and generate an online income. The former will often highlight the small business and feature product pages and methods in which the visitor can purchase items. The latter will typically center on content and information supported by advertisements. Both commercial website types are similar in their creation, though the actual design for the website may differ slightly.
Register for a web hosting account. Choose a professional web host plan that can handle a large amount of visitors and offers robust services and features that allow you to track visitors and website traffic. Various service providers offer economical hosting plans that serve the needs of commercial websites. Examples include GoDaddy and 1&1 (links in the Resources section).
Connect your FTP client with your web host account. You will need your domain name (provided with your hosting plan) and password to sync your FTP client with the online server. An FTP client allows you to manage your online files and upload new site files as you build your commercial website.
Create a new commercial web page. You may write the HTML code by hand if you are experienced with basic HTML, using a web design program such as Adobe Dreamweaver or a basic text editing utility. Alternatively, use an automated commercial website generator included with most website hosting plans (e.g., 1&1 provides tutorials and an automated program to help you create a professional website without knowing HTML code).
Upload the commercial website files to your website server using your FTP client.
Integrate affiliate marketing to make money online using your commercial website. Affiliate marketing works by giving you a small commission for selling a product or service. Various companies offer affiliate accounts to help you make money on the Internet by promoting their products. Choose a professional affiliate marketing program to avoid being scammed. Various reputable, online companies give independent publishers an opportunity to join their affiliate marketing. Examples include Amazon's Amazon Associates and Commission Junction (links in the Resources section). Insert your affiliate links into your commercial website to make money anytime a visitor buys the product or service.
Insert advertising, such as Google AdSense, into your commercial website. Google AdSense is one of the most popular third-party advertising programs. The advantage of using a third-party advertising program is that you do not have to manually find advertisers and manage their accounts. After inserting the Google AdSense code, Google serves relevant ads to your commercial website and pays you every time someone clicks on an ad.
Promote the commercial website you've built to gain more traffic and earn more money off of the affiliate marketing and advertising on your web pages. Build organic traffic by requesting links from other relevant commercial websites so that visitors have an increased chance of finding your page.

How to Find The Best Free Web HostingIn Feburary 2016 07,

In Feburary 2016 07,
Determine the type of website you want to create. Examples of personal websites include blogs, personal homepages, portfolios, or resume sites. If you want an e-commerce site for your business, however, you should really opt for a paid Web host since most free hosts severely restrict 'shopping cart' programming, disk space, and bandwidth.
Determine the amount of disk space you need. A good rule of thumb is to get as much disk space as you can. The amount of disk space provided by free Web hosts varies widely -- anywhere from 20MB to 1GB -- and there are limitations on individual file sizes.
Decide whether you're willing to allow advertisements on your site. Most free Web hosts have plans that place banner ads on your site in exchange for the service, while others do not place ads, but severely limit your design flexibility and access to server resources.
Decide what kind of programming flexibility you want. Most free Web hosts allow only static HTML pages, but some do allow Web programming in exchange for ad placement on your site or resource limits. For instance, kinds of programming tools you might want are PHP combined with MySQL, to allow better content management and the ability for users to contact you through a Web form or log in to an account.
Decide if you want a full domain name or are willing to use a sub-domain name. Most free Web hosts force you to use a sub-domain with the host's name in it. For example, “www.[your name].hostcompany.com” rather than a full domain name like “www.[your name].com.”
Determine the level of customer support you need. Free Web hosts provide some level of customer support, for example, online forums, knowledge bases, and email support. However, paid plans are more likely to give you comprehensive technical support, like 24/7 access to technical staff and phone support.
Search technical review sites like FreeWebSpace.org or Free-Webhosts.com for lists of hosts with plans that match the features you decided on in Steps 1 through 6. Also search your city's Chamber of Commerce website or your local Better Business Bureau.
Read through the customer reviews for each host, if available. Look for ways the host excelled in, or failed to provide, the features you require. However, keep in mind that some reviewers may have had an uncommon experience with the host, so look for review patterns that present an overall picture of the host.
Decide which host you want to use and then contact the company by phone or email. Provide your requirements to verify it has a free hosting plan that is appropriate for you. Speaking with a person from the company, rather than signing up for services on its website, helps you get a feel for how responsive the company will be to your needs.
